Legacy Legal Services, PC
James Brandon Cooper is the owner of Legacy Legal Services, PC. His legal experience began while he was working on his bachelor’s degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He had a job as a legal assistant for a local law firm in Birmingham, Alabama. From the time he worked for the law firm he knew that he wanted to practice law and his opportunity came after a life changing event happened to him. He was injured in a car wreck while on business in Atlanta, GA. In that split second when he saw the car coming at him, he thought about his wife, son and unborn daughter and who would take care of them if something happened to him. The police officer said it was a miracle that he was able to walk away from the accident, but many people are not as fortunate. After his accident he was nervous and confused about what his options were, but he had a couple of great attorneys that guided him through the legal process. After his accident he felt the desire to go to law school so that one day he could help others by guiding them through the legal process just as his attorneys helped him.
As an accomplished attorney serving the entire State of Alabama, Brandon strongly believes that the preparation of a proper estate plan can be the glue that holds a family together when unexpected events, disability or death happen. His practice focuses on Wills, Revocable Trusts, Elder Law including Long Term Care Planning, Special Needs Trusts, Financial Power of Attorney, Health Care Power of Attorney and other forms of legacy estate planning.
Brandon guides his clients in taking the necessary steps to take control of their assets while they are able, prepare for potential disability and ensure that they will be able to give what they want to whom they want when they want. Together they work to prepare a unique legacy estate plan that will not only take care of their assets, but also their family.
